ITINERARY
In Lombok, you can enjoy a stay mixing leisure, discovery and riding trails.
Everyday, we go and discover on horseback the different identities of this generous and majestic region: huge and wild beaches of white sand, virgin forests, rice fields, mangroves, lagoons... We go across many traditional villages where tillers and fishermen live and allow us to share their daily lives.
Your accommodation, nearby the sea, allows you to discover by yourself secret coves, huge and wild beaches and other treasures of the Indonesian nature.
This trip being "a la carte", it is possible to modify the itinerary according to your wishes.
Day 1: Mataram.
Arrival at Mataram airport. You meet our personal chauffeur who drives you to Kuta, at the South of the Island, in a private car (1.30hour drive). You settle in our villa overhanging the wonderful Kuta bay.
Dinner and night at the villa.
Day 2: Desert beaches of Seger and Serenting.
For this first ride, we go to the discovery of two huge beaches of white sand, bound to a big lagoon. We walk along six different beaches, a wonderful mangrove and a hill where colonies of wild monkeys live. We visit a small village of fishermen, then go deeper into the land, crossing a big lagoon, rice fields, soya, peanuts and beans fields. The long beach of Serenting (6 kilometers long) is a perfect track for riders who enjoy fast gallop ! (2 hours on horseback)
Night at the villa.
Day 3: Sasak villages.
Along this trail, we go across many traditionnal villages, made of bamboo and palm wood. During the rainy season, people are working in the rice fields. We go from one valley to another, discovering new panoramas. Villages are more and more isolated and rural : here, women are cooking on a wood fire, there, they are weaving colored tissues in front of their houses. (2.30 hours on horseback)
Night at the villa.
Day 4: Sunup on Mount Prabu.
To watch the sunup on the big Kuta, Serenting and Tanjung Aan bays, you need to wake up early. Indeed, the sun comes up at 6.00am. We leave at 5.00am after a quick breakfast for Mount Prabusur where our horses are waiting for us. In the first glow of dawn, we climb Mount Prabu. At sunup, we ride on the path winding to its top. Arrived at the extremity of this peninsula, we stop and unsaddle our horses to enjoy this unforgettable panorama. Way back to the truck, going down by the western side of the Mount. After this ride, a car is waiting for us to drive you back to our villa. You are free for the rest of the day. (3hours on horseback).
Night at the villa.
Day 5: Tanjung Aan bay and fishermen village of Gerupuk.
Departure at 8.00am to join, by the inside of the land, along the valleys, the countryside and the rice fields, the Tanjung Aan beach, famous for its turquoise blue waters. We take advantage of this beach during the hottest hours of the day to swim and have a rest. At the end of the afternoon, we ride through coastal villages between Tanjung Aan and Gerupuk. Small bays of glassy waters, among green hills, follow one another. (one day on horseback).
Night at the villa.
Day 6: Nyale Hills and Serenting beach.
Discovery day in the Kuta region, South of Lombok. We join Serenting beach, riding across charming little fishermen towns and along the lagoon. After one or two gallops on the big Serenting beach, we climb Mount Nyale to watch the sunset and enjoy the view on the beaches. Then, we go back to the villa through Nyale and Kuta beaches. (2.30 hours on horseback).
Night at the villa.
Day 7: Climbing Mount Batik Bantar.
The Mount Batik Bantar is one of the highest points of the Kuta region. From its top, we can enjoy the wide panorama on almost the totality of the beaches of the region. We ride for more than an hour to join the Mount through fields and hills. Return to the villa by the road going along the lagoon and rice and peanuts fields. (2.30hours on horseback).
Night at the villa.
Day 8: Swimming with horses in the lagoon and flight back.
For this wonderful moment of relaxation for the horses and their riders, we join Serenting beach in the morning. We unsaddle the horses to ride bareback and swim in the waves of the shallow lagoon with horses. We let our horses dry and take some time to have a drink before saddling them again to go back home along Kuta beaches. After lunch, our chauffeur drives us to Mataram airport (1.30 hour drive). Flight back to your country.
