Brazil is still almost unknown of European riders. Yet, this vast South American country offers as unexpected as varied equestrian experiences! Discover the four itineraries we offer in different parts of Brazil :
- First of all, of course, the Pantanal, where the ecosystem can be compared with the one of the Okavango delta in Africa: seasonal floods give to these huge plains a big fertility, exploited by fazendas, the local version of cattle breeding ranches.
For the trail rider, this is a unique opportunity to combine into one trip the discovery of the riding style of the local gauchos and experience a horseback safari in this exceptional and wild environment.
- The backlands of Rio de Janeiro, the Mata Atlantica, has one of the best-preserved parts of the Atlantic rainforest thanks to its inaccessibility in the heart of the mountains. You will explore this jungle with its unique variety of vegetation and animals, which was at the origin of young Charles Darwin's vocation, riding magnificient brazilian Mangalarga Marchador horses with their special ambling gait called "Marcha".
- Discover the canyons and waterfalls of the Aparados da Serra National Parc in the South of Brazil. Contrary to other big canyons, these are situated in exuberant forests, giving them a spectacular and unique frame!
- Situated on the border between Brazil and Argentina, the Iguazu falls are an amazing natural sight to discover. This ride combines nature and culture with the remains of Jesuit missions, big estancias, mate plantations and the rainforest that surrounds the falls.
