At the south east of Liège, in an area as apreciated by the botanists as by the riders, we offer you a week end trail in an unspoilted countryside.
This trail is the perfect one if you just dream of riding in the forest, to galop through the oaks, passing rivers, having lunch on river edges.
For a relaxing week end break with nice horses, nice guide and nice landscape, don't hesitate and book it !

ITINERARY
|
Day 1
Rendez vous at the riding centre at Bihain at the end of the day, between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm.
Transfers from Vielsalm train station are available (20 min from riding centre) at the same time table. (12e / person, return ticket, to be paid on site but booked at booking time).
Dinner is not included.
Night at the guide's inn.

Day 2, 3 and 4
There is no scheduled itinerary for this trail. It may vary according to the riding level of the group, the weather, the condition of the pathes and the guide's desire !
On the last day, the end of the trail is around 5.00pm. For those who leave by train, thanks to schedule a train after 5.30 pm.
During the winter, trail goes on ! Horse are equiped with special horse shoes so they can walk in the snow without any risk. |

HORSES AND REQUIRED RIDING LEVEL

Horse
Horses are crossbred or arab half-breed, paint horses and rocky mountain horses !
Tack
English tack type. Saddlebag and/or holster provided.
Riquired Riding level
You have to be at ease at three paces on this trail. You'll spend 5/6 hours a day in the saddle.
Kids are accepted from 12 years old if the riding level is good enough.
Maximum weight is 90 kg.

Owner and guide of this trail, Tanguy will make you do the most of your week end while Blandine, his wife will prepare your meals.

You'll be accommodated in your guide's inn. There are three possibilities:
- Common bedroom: room for 4 people, shared bathroom.
Sleeping bag and towels to be brought.
- Double room with shared bathroom.

Food
This week end trail is on a full board basis. Most of the time you'll take your lunch in the saddlebag while you'll have dinner at the inn.

ACCESS

CLIMATE
In summer, the climate is very pleasant for riding, always cool to be at ease on horseback.
In winter, it can be snowy.
On any time of the year, we advice to bring a waterproof raincoat.
Formalities
A valid passport is required of all foreigners entering France, except people living from a Schengen agreement country for who a valid ID card is enough.
All foreign citizens who wish to come to France must be able to present regulatory proof of the purpose of their stay, means of support and accommodation. In some cases, they need a visa to enter France. Visas must be applied for before leaving for France at a French consular office.
France is a member of European Union. No visa is required for citizens of other EU states.
No visa is required for US visitors staying less than 3 months.

Vaccination - health
No specific vaccinations. Don't forget your repatriation insurance.
We recommand to be update of usual vaccination, and especially tetanus.
