The rides happen over about ten valleys in the heart of the Alps and more than 12000 km of paths... So you can discover typical villages and the cows of the race of the country of Hérens, you cross the reserve of Réchy Valley... You will ride at the edge of the small mountain lakes with the most prestigious summits of the Alps: Cervin, Dent-Blanche, Weisshorn, etc.... It is the opportunity to meet the fauna protected from this region: deers, chamoises, marmots, eagles...

ITINERARY
SWISS MOUNTAIN MEADOWS OR FAMILIES HORSEBACK TRAIL FOR SUMMER
A trail between France, Switzerland and Italy in a beautiful area located in the heart of Alps mountains : Valais Alps. Riding there is the discovery of an authentic country. You are going along mule tracks, forest roads, pedestrian roads to reach almost 3000 m of height. On the way you pass at the edge of the small mountain lakes... The Alps will allow you see wild animals, to be amazed by the wealth of the alpine flora and to breath a good air. |

IMPORTANT
For all trails, arrival are planed at the ranch on evening and riders leave on last day at the end of afternoon.
According to logistic or climatic constraints, the itinerary might change with acces that can be difficult to cottages... That's why we give you an indicative itinerary for each trail.

Recommended riding level
You have to be confident at all gaits and use to ride outdoor. We ride during 5 and 6 hours per day.
Useful information
At some places, you should go by foot leading your horse. So you need a good staminia for this trail.
Children from 12 years are accepted if they are with their parents.
We can't accept riders who weigh more than 95 kg on this itinerary.
For your safety, we recommend always to wear a riding helmet while on horseback.
YOUR GUIDES
Guiding
The ride is supervised by an experienced horseriding guide who knows very well mountain and horses.
Logistic
We have a 4x4 car to bring us picnic lunch (if we don't have saddlebags) and our luggages from a cottage to an other one. For Vendes and Nejos cottage, horses wear luggages.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation
Cottage, chalet, inns or campsite. Some times it can be very rustic, without shower even if we always have enough water to clean us up.
Restauration
We bring our picninc lunch with us for midday. Dinner and breakfast included.

GROUP SIZE
From 4 to 10 riders maximum.
ACCESS
Meeting point directly to the riding centre in Sion at the end of the afternoon.
If you arrive by train, meeting point in Sion train station (Switzerland) between 5.00 pm and 7.00pm. The last day, departure from the ranch around 6.30 pm.
You can stay one extra night if you need.
CLIMATE
In summer, climate is pleasant, dry and hot, with sometimes storms.
During tourism low season, you should be equiped for all weather as we are in the mountains.
Formalities
Contact your ambassy. For European people, the Identity card is enought.
Vaccination - health
No specific vaccinations. Don't forget your repatriation insurance.
We recommand to be update of usual vaccination, and especially tetanus..
