ITINERARY
Day 1
We meet you at Windhoek airport and transport you to the Lodge (4 hours by car). Awaiting you are the pool and the garden's quiet solitude where you can re-energize after your long trip. The afternoon is spent building relationships with the horses, using all our senses to get to know each other, before taking the first short outride.
Dinner and night at Lodge.
Day 2
The fascinating animal and plant world of our conservancy is explored from horseback. After some 2,5 hours we return to the lodge for a light lunch and dreamy siesta. In the afternoon your field guide leads you on a game drive. The beautiful African sunset is savoured with a cocktail in hand, followed by a hearty dinner and the romance of a crackling camp fire.
Night at Lodge.
Day 3 and 4
Horse rides into the Namibian bush and tree savannah are undertaken in the early mornings and late afternoons. Your companion will guide you securely through the surrounding African veldt and will gladly explain the plants and animals of the complex ecosystem. There will be time in the afternoon to rest, swim in the pool or leisurely read your book in the shade of the trees, forgetting time and stress.
Dinner and night at Lodge.
Day 5
As the sun rises, we will be on our way on horseback. Following the tracks of zebra and gnu we will ride across the veldt, always wary of any possible exciting encounters in the African bush. Our destination is a breakfast-in-the-bush. Be sure to garner all your senses for this wonderful "Out of Africa" experience. After your lunch rest and the obligatory coffee and cake session, we’re off into nature again. The Kambaku field guide will take you on a bush walk. He has much to share and explain, as the flora and fauna of the conservancy area is diverse.
Dinner and night at Lodge.
Day 6
At sunrise our game drive through the nature reserve begins, as we try to creep up on wildlife. Is there a better way to start the day: sunrise in the bush, watching animals warm themselves in the early rays of sunshine? The afternoon is reserved for horseback enjoyment whilst the sounds of the savannah die down for the night together with the setting sun.
Dinner and night at Lodge.
Day 7
Another wonderful horse ride in the early hours, a peaceful midday and a last ride to greet the sun. The horses wait patiently as we sip our sundowners, becoming one with the colours of the sunset and the creeping darkness. We may just meet up with ant eaters and porcupine on our way back to the lodge.
Dinner and night at Lodge.
Day 8
Before starting the journey to Windhoek, a last ride into the veldt and the last scenic lunch on the terrace. Time to greet the gnu and zebra before embarking for Windhoek International Airport.
It is said that whoever has tasted the water of Africa, will have to return again... So, it is "Until next time!" and not "Farewell!"
This program is just an example and it is all weather, and arrival departures
dependable.

Feeding and grooming
is in principle taken care of by the stable boys. However, you are recommended
to groom and tack up your own horse every morning. This creates a bond
between rider and horse that both parties will rely on during the day's
adventures.
Tack
The saddles are english saddles (wintec, regular all purpose saddle).
