ITINERARYDay 1 Dinner and overnight at the fazenda.
Day 2 After breakfast we start our ride through the endless fields of the fazenda. On this first day we get straight into the habits of the Pantaneiros (Pantalnal cowboys) and will have the opportunity to drive cattle while working along with the cowboys and establishing a closer contact with the regional way of cattle work. We return to the fazenda for lunch and in late afternoon we leave for another exploring ride of the area, getting more chances to the see the amazing deversity of wildlife that lives in the surroundings. The land is home to many birds and wild animals, living together with the cattle.
Day 3 A new day on horseback in the never ending surroundings of the fazenda with numerous possibilities to watch the wildlife. To reach the place where we will have our lunch break, we will swim with the horses across a river. Lunch will be one of the most typical dishes of Pantanal, used as main meal during the long cattle drives: “ arroz carreteiro” which is made of rice and sun dried beef. After lunch you can try to fish piranha (in the same river you crossed with your horse!) or rest on the hammocks under the trees. Dinner and night at the fazenda. Today we leave "Sao Jose" fazenda towards "Pequi" fazenda. Our ride will take us through century-old trees, palm groves and again we will have the opportunity to see many fascinating birds and animals. Tonight dinner is at fazenda "Pequi" where a good steak will be prepared on a typical pantaneiro barbecue. But before we go for a nocturnal spotlighting boat safari on the Aquidauana River.
Day 5 This morning we mingle with the cowboys to help work the cattle. Lunch break at the fazenda and in the afternoon we go for a photo safari on a jeep to hunt wild animals and water fowl that we are sure to meet on our way. Dinner and night at the fazenda.
Day 6 After breakfast we leave fazenda "Pequi" in the direction of the Olhos D'Água Ranch. Open country changes and we ride for over an hour through ancient forests and palm groves before arriving at the fazenda which is located on the banks of the Aquidauana River. Here we enjoy a wonderful typical lunch with some of the main cuisine menus of the Pantanal, fresh water fish roasted, cooked or fried and other typical dishes accompanied by farofa (yucca or manioc flour toasted in butter or oil with banana), besides, of course, their famous deserts with local fruits.

CLIMATE
The Pantanal has two very sharply defined seasons, a rainy and a dry season. Both seasons are good for travel to this region and the activities are tailored to the weather and the flooding cycle. The rainy season occurs roughly from October to March (average temperature 26,1°C or 79F) with the wettest months being February and March. Dry season is from April to September with an average temperature of 23,7°C or 75F). The months of least rainfall are July and August. The rainy season roughly corresponds to the flooded season. In the months of December through April water rushes over the banks of the many rivers in the Pantanal and much of the savanna is covered with a shallow sheet of water. The highest water months are generally January and February. These great environmental fluctuations are one of the reasons that the wildlife is so concentrated. Formalities
