On brave Icelandic horses you'll ride trough conifer forest, cross the
land and rivers and step over the mountains of this magical setting.
At the north of the famous Fjord, in the heart of a very rich and varied
environment, you will spend all your stay in a comfortable hotel.
Built in the purest scandinavian style, white and red couloured on the
outside, totally equiped with wood furnitures in the inside....this establishement
is the base camp of your stay.
To unable everyone to enjoy his stay, groups are made in relation with
the riding skills of each.
So either you're looking for a dynamic or a more relaxing stay, you'll
find it in Norway !

ITINERARY
Day 1 - Saturday:
Takeoff to Oslo.
Installation at your hotel, free dinner and at night at the 4* hotel situated near to the airport.
Day 2 - Sunday:
Since the station situated in the airport of Oslo, we take the train in the morning (direction of Hjerkinn approximately 4 hours). Our guide comes to look for us directly at the station and drives us to our accommodation. In the afternoon, we have time and the leisure to discover the surroundings. If it is possible, our guide provides us a kayak and then we can navigate in the lake adjacent to the hotel.
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 3 - Monday:
After the breakfast, we leave on foot with our guide to search the famous muskoxes. This is a massive animal protected with a long very insulating fleece, he is called omingmak by the Inuits, what means " the animal which the fur is like a beard". Return at the hotel, we relax and we prepare ourself for the dinner.

Day 4 - Tuesday:
Today is a "test day", to get in contact with your new
compagnion, the Icelandic horse. Its height, its bravour, the special
tack used and its singular gaits as the Tölt make a unique
horse of him!
After lunchbreak, you leave for a three hours ride.
Day 5 - Wednesday:
This morning, we are welcome in the stables about 9:30am. We leave towards the dam of Hjerkinn. On the way, we discover luxurious landscapes. According to the weather, we lunch near to the lake or at the hotel.
The afternoon is the occasion for you to explore the surroundings or to relax at the hotel.
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Approximately 3 hours in saddle.
Day 6 - Thursday:
Today we leave stables at 9:00am and ride all day long. Along the way we stop to picnic in a place lost in the middle of the nature. Late in the afternoon, we return in the hotel to get ready for an evening organized by our guide. After the show, we share a typical meal with our hosts. Night at the hotel.
Approximately 6 hours in saddle.
Day 7 - Friday:
After the breakfast, we ride towards Sautjønn for a half-day on horseback. To Sautjønn, the bravest of us can have a bath with his horse before leaving to the riding center for the lunch. Before participating a new evening to celebrate the coming of new riders, we have the leisure to visit the surroundings.
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Approximately 3 hours in saddle.
Day 8 - Saturday:
At 9:30 am after having a breakfast and prepared our horses we ride a new day in the county of Oppland. Oppland extends lakes Mjøsa and Randsfjorden up to the National Parks of Dovrefjell, Jotunheimen and Rondane. In this county it is possible to admire two higher summits: Glittertind and Galdhøpiggen. Returning at the hotel, we benefit of our last evening at Hjerkinn.

Approximately 6 hours in saddle.
Day 9 - Sunday:
We meet for the last time and ride all morning long on paths around the stables of the riding school. After the lunch, we leave towards the station of Hjerkinn to take our train to Oslo. Free transfer between the station and the hotel.
Night at the hotel in Oslo.
Free dinner.
Approximately 3 hours in saddle.
Day 10 - Monday:
According to the hour of our flight we maybe have time to visit Oslo, the Norwegian capital.
Free transfer since your hotel up to the airport. (Approximately 15 € with the train)
Return flight for Paris.

Horses
There is only Icelandic horses, very gentle and confident.
The Icelandic horse is world-famous for his gait, the tölt, fast
and comfortable, that allows to cover long distances without tiredness

made according to your riding skills.
This ride is open to riders from 10 years old.
