ITINERARYDay 1:
Flight to Dublin. Arrival in Ireland between 12.00 and 3.00pm. Transfer to the centre and meeting with the horses and the staff of the centre, then, you can settle in your caravan at 4.00pm. This afternoon, you learn the first information to drive a horse drawn caravan. You can also define a described itinerary for the week with the staff of the centre who can help you find the best itinerary for you, depending on what you want to do during your holidays. Night in your caravan on the spot. Day 2: This morning, you attend a demonstration in which you learn how to take care of the horse, how to brush him, harness him, feed him and make him feel good all week long. Then you take your time to get used to the horse who will draw your caravan during the week and apply what you learnt in the morning. In the early afternoon, you can finally go on the road, guiding your caravan, in total freedom. It is important to keep in mind that you must, everyday, reach your stop for the night half an hour before sun set. Night in your caravan. Day 3 to 7: Everyday, you follow the itinerary you chose, guiding your caravans in the mountains, the countryside or along the seaside of the wonderful Wicklow county. You follow your own rhythm, stopping every night in farms, guesthouses, hotels or pubs in which you can find toilets and showers, the ground for the caravan, grass for the horse, and often much more! The average distance walked by a horse drawing a 750kg caravan is 20km a day (four hours necessary). At night of day 7, you are back at the centre where you spend the last night in your caravan. Day 8: This morning, you give your caravan back for 10.00am. A transfer is organized to Dublin airport in the morning. Flight back to your country.

YOUR GUIDESGuides: You leave in total freedom, without a guide, with the horse and the caravan. On the first day, the staff of the centre explain you how to drive the caravan and horse and how to take care of the horse on the way. They also help you define the itinerary which suits you best. They point you the roads you can take, the best places where you can stop and the best sites to see. Logistics: At night, you stop in farms, guesthouses, pubs and hotels in which you can use the toilets and showers, but also sometimes, enjoy good meals, farm products, child care services, etc. Hay for the horse is supplied. ACCOMMODATIONAccommodation: Four to five people can live in a caravan in double beds or bunk beds. There is a small kitchen with a double gas hotplate, pots and pans including crockery for five people, a teapot and kettle, a sink with water supply. You have at your disposal storage space for your clothes, bedclothes, sleeping bags and pillows. Careful: no electricity supplied in the caravans! Catering: The caravan rental does not include meals. We recommend you to arrive with food for two days (a "food-shopping stop" is planned during the transfer from Dublin airport to the centre when you arrive in Ireland). Then on the road, you can stop anywhere in shops, restaurants and pubs...

RATE NOT INCLUDING - flights to Dublin, - transfers from and to the airport, - meals and drinks, - payment for the night stops (20 to 25€ a night), - 240€ caution for the rental of the horse and caravan, - tips, - the organisation of a possible tour through the region before or after the trail ride. - any other prestation - insurance : repatriation aid or multiple-risk (cancellation, luggage, repatriation). ACCESS Dublin Airport CLIMATE Ireland shows an oceanic climate, temperate and humid. Temperatures are homogenous (from 11°C to 20°C in summer), but the weather can change quickly. In general, a summer day in Ireland is hot and sunny, but with some clouds and showers from time to time.
