You will also discover the tölt, this typical supplementary pace of the Icelandic horse. Particularly comfortable for the rider, this pace in 4 times is also fast and allows to cover long distances without fatigue... It is however tiring for the horse, what explains that every rider has 3 or 4 horses which he rides up alternately. The not taken horses are left free and follow the trail in a big herd.
