Why travelling with Randocheval ?

The Okavango... A mythic river, the only one around the world who issues in a desert. The delta stretch over 18000 km², it's a huge natural space. 10 000 years ago, this area was a part of Makgadikgadi lake.

Here millions of islands were formed around termites'nests and vegetable blocks. It's a unique ecosystem where miilion of wonderful species are present (birds, games, and also the famous Big Five (elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion, leopard).
During southern winter, the open plains become a gigantic flooded area.

Thoses safaris are exceptionnals, both by the organization we'll provide you and by the luck we have to be able to access this unique area, moreover on horseback. Exciting and comfortable safaris reserved for the experimented riders. The non-riders are also welcome.

To discover this delta, we suggest you 2 formula :

- On the West side : Equestrian safari in the heart of Okavango Delta

Stationary 8 days ride from a luxury base camp. If weather permitted, we will sleep to our mobile camp for one night. Our guide will make you discover during daily rides on horseback the wildlife of this famous delta. A warm welcome is waiting for you. This safari was elected : The Best Horseriding Safari in Africa 2009 !

- On the Est side : Okavango Explore ride

We are just close to Moremi Natural Game Reserve, the best place to watch the migration of elephants and buffalos... We leave for a 8 days or 11 days horse riding safari (2 or 3 different camps), to explore all faces of this delta. This area is crossed by the three main rivers of th Okavango river, this allowed to have flood plains during 6 months. We will try to approach the closest as possible, the animals, and sometimes the famous Big Five. Note, we include helicopter scenic flights to transfer you from and to the base camp.

You also have the possibility to combine two destinations :

- Combination South Africa (Waterberg Mountains) and Botswana (Limpopo Valley)
