After your horse riding trail in Southern Africa, takea advantage to be there for extending you trip and discovering the famous Victoria Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfall of the world. 90m high and 1800m long, Victoria Falls is one of the most beautiful and impressive falls of the world. It's situated on the Zambezi, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Livingstone in 1855, during one of its numerous trip in Africa was surprised and attracted by a whitish cloud rising permanently over the forest. The natives led him to the feet of " the smoke which thunders "... He was subjected by the beauty of the site and he gave it the name of her queen: Victoria. An amazing place to be discovered with accommodation in a luxurious lodge situated on an island in the middle of the river Zambezi with all the comfort. According to the ride that you will book before or after, the stay at Victoria Falls can be longer or shorter because sometimes, it is necessary to stay one night in Johannesburg to be able to take the flight towards Livinsgtone.

EXTENSION FOR 3 NIGHTS TO VICTORIA FALLS

For all extension before or after tours Cape Town, Wild Coast, Big Five, Combined tours, Stay for famillies, Limpopo Lodge Ride or Paradise beach week in Mozambique.

Day 1
In afternoon, return flight towards Johannesburg. Transfer to the hotel B&B Airport Game Lodge. Dinner not included but restaurant in the hotel. Night.

Day 2
On the morning, transfer from hotel to Johannesburg airport and flight to Livingstone. At your arrival, transfer to the Lodge. Lunch and free time at there. At the end of the day, cruise on the Zambezi river for the sunset. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

After breakfast, trip to Falls. Lunch at the lodge and then, nature trails and village/school tour. Before the dinner, you enjoy a mokoro trip to get the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Nature trail on the island on morning before your transfer to Livingstone. Return flight.

The Islands of Siankaba (or similar) 2 nights This luxury 5* Lodge located on two little islands, in the middle of Zambezi river appears as one of the most quiet and green place in the area. Between victoria Fall and, Chobe National Parc, this lodge offers a relaxing atmosphere in one of these 7 cabins (capacity 14 people) all equipped and decorated according to African tradition. A dream setting for a stay of charm ... Islands are connected between them thanks to a suspension bridge, what will allow you to reach the restaurant without any difficulty. All the infrastructures were built with natural materials as the teak, which harmonize perfectly with the spirit of the surrounding bush and the beauty of the river. PRATICAL INFORMATIONS

• 3 days / 2 nights : after trails in Okavango west, Okavango east, Garonga.
• 4 days / 3 nights : after trails at Cape Town, Wild Coast, Big Five, Combined tours, Family stay in Waterberg, Limpopo Lodge Ride, Mozambique.

It's a tropical climate with a rainy season from October to April. It is possible to reach all year but you have to know that there are phenomenas of floods and low water very marked. You must therefore expect a very different view of Victoria Falls according the period of year.



The high water from February to July with a peak in March and April, just after the rainy season. The fog is very dense, rising to 400 m altitude, crossed by rainbows.
Low flows from August to January, with the lowest level in November and early December. At this time, it may happen that part of the falls is completely dry. There is very little water mist and you can enjoy the geological structure of falls and their full extent, hidden by the fog the rest of the year. Similarly, the water level allows activities that have made the reputation of Victoria Falls (rafting...).

We recommend to be update of usual vaccination, and especially tetanus..
A treatment against Malaria is highly recommended.
